Ausmus will one day make a team a fine manager or coach in some capacity, but for now he's back home in San Diego.
Quintero's lousy behind at at the plate.
J.R. Towles wouldn't know which end of a bat to use if you painted it red.
So, it's up to Pudge.
He may be in decline like Preston Wilson and Woody Williams, but he's better than those who aren't on the rise at all.

Pudge can at least get the job done.
We had Saltalamachia (no arm for the pickoff to second), Laird who sucked all around and The other guy whos name I forget, but the dude has balls of steel and can take a big time hit (pretty good arm too).
They will praobably all get traded away for another outfielder who might can hit. The only one of those we have that worked out at all is Hamilton.
Please dear God don't let them trade Hamilton. He's all we've got right now.
