Actually this is a case of a "parasitic twin" or a Chimera. It is a twin that died during gestation and the other twin absorbed the body (incompletely). Were you to take DNA samples from various parts of the body, you'll find two different DNA profiles. Medical science is actually finding that this is actually far more common than originally thought. the advent of widespread DNA testing is finding more and more people with more than one DNA profile, depending on what part of the body is sampled. The other DNA may be from your mother, from your offspring (in the case of women) or from an absorbed twin. Freaky, but true.
