The ultimate shakedown artist is going back to the rhetoric of his Hymietown and Blood Diamond Bagman days, hopeful that the gravy train will come to his station once more to guarantee his mistress' kid its own trip on Easy Street...
Barack Obama's entry into the White House will diminish the power of "Zionists who have controlled American policy for decades," Rev. Jesse Jackson told Iranian-born journalist Amir Taheri on the sidelines of the first World Policy Forum held in Evian, France last week.Jackson said he was not tied to Obama in any official capacity and was speaking "just [as] a supporter."
But he wouldn't refuse riding the wave of the Spoils System, of course.
As for his thoughts on the terrorist entities running the Palestinian Authority:
Regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Jackson said "Bush was so afraid of a snafu and of upsetting Israel that he gave the whole thing a miss, Barack will change that," Jackson said, because, as long as the Palestinians haven't seen justice, the Middle East will "remain a source of danger to us all."
When I last checked, Jon Pollard was still rotting in jail, and Condi Rice continues to push for development projects and handouts in Gaza despite Hamas' hijacking of any and all useful resources for rearming, training, and weapons development.
True justice would be the obliteration of those targeting and attacking civilians in Sderot, and if they happen to have willing human shields around them, ignoring the claims that "innocent bystanders" were killed in the process.
The Geneva Convention's pretty clear about that.
Perhaps it's time the Israelis got their prescriptions checked and took the gloves off once again.
"Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr. is not an adviser to the Obama campaign and is therefore in no position to interpret or share Barack Obama's views on Israel and foreign policy," Obama national security spokeswoman Wendy Morigi said in a statement.
Should Obama get into office, it will be interesting to see how he handles the Post-MLK Shakedown And Swindle Racebaiter Generation of the Civil Rights Movement.
Jackson, of course, denies the quotes:
"I stand forthrightly for the security and stability of Israel, its protection from any form of hostility and a peaceful, nonviolent resolution to coexisting with its Palestinian neighbors," Jackson said. The statement added that he "has never had a conversation with Sen. Obama about Israel or the Middle East."
When dealing with figures like Jackson, one should always keep a recording of the full conversation to fall back on when he eventually claims he was taken out of context.
Oh, and ever the magnet for crazy, Wikipedia now says:
Amir Taheri is an Iranian-born journalist and author based in Europe with meglomaniacal tendencies professing his own distorted point of view.
*sigh* All it takes to sink Jackson once and for all is to let Jackson speak his mind and get it on tape.
Is that so hard?
A blog entry at Jerusalem Post ponders Jesse Jackson's derangement further.

Seriously?
You're going to the New York Post as the springboard for your moral outrage, and it ISN'T directed at the New York Post?
They make The Enquirer look like The Economist by comparison.
