TSU's former thief-in-chief plea-bargained to a fine and no jail time.
If you look at it from a very narrow perspective, it means the public won't be wasting any more tax dollars on her.
"I thank God that it's over," Slade told reporters after the plea bargain. "I can move on with my life to bigger and better things."
Or... um... maybe not.
*sigh*
She must also perform 400 hours of community service.
She thought she was doing the community a service by spending a cash-strapped university's money on luxuries for recruitment purposes, including a bed.
What do you think she should be doing for those 400 hours?
I, for one, think she should be forced take classes at the university she left strapped for cash.
Especially any lab classes... ones with broken or inadequate equipment.
