More bluster from the local operative of the ICRC:
The International Committee of the Red Cross on Friday called on both Israel and the Palestinians to respect international law and stop harming innocent civilians.A statement issued by the local branch of the Geneva-based humanitarian organization said it was concerned about the wave of violence since Tuesday, when an Israeli ground and air offensive to try and stop Palestinian rocket attacks from Gaza against Israel claimed the lives of 19 Palestinians, including the son of a prominent Hamas leader.
Under the Geneva Conventions, civilians who willingly offer themselves up as human shields for non-uniformed combatants are not innocent. And civilians who are unwillingly used as human shields for non-uniformed combatants are the responsibility of the non-uniformed combatants.
The individuals a rational individual would classify as civilians of Gaza tend to fall into those two categories.
The individuals a rational individual would classify as civilians of Sderot fall into neither.
Nice try at moral equivalence, ICRC. Maybe you should approve a red hand sticking up its middle finger on a while field as an alternate symbol.

Nice to see that the International Red Cross is just as worthless now as they were back in World War II (according to one of my grandparents).
