Drunk and stoned

Remember the guys that the tiger attacked in the San Francisco Zoo?

Try not to be shocked, but they were drunk and stoned:

Paul Dhaliwal, 19, told the father of Carlos Sousa Jr., 17, who was killed, that the three yelled and waved at the tiger but insisted they never threw anything into its pen to provoke the cat, according to a search warrant affidavit obtained by the San Francisco Chronicle.

"As a result of this investigation, (police believe) that the tiger may have been taunted/agitated by its eventual victims," according to Inspector Valerie Matthews, who prepared the affidavit. Police believe that "this factor contributed to the tiger escaping from its enclosure and attacking its victims," she said.

Feel free to lump me in with the nutcases from PETA, but if you're acting like a dick to a wild animal because you're in an artificial position of supremacy, serves you right to get knocked down a run on the food chain every now and then.

Okay, so the railing was too short. The Zoo screwed up.

Doesn't mean that acting like a jackass on the tail and mocking the inmates is a smart thing to do.

The sad part is, with the Zoo building the rail too short, watch for a settlement on any lawsuit.

Lesson to be learned: acting like a dick to wild animals should net you cold hard cash.

Sheesh. (Will they try to sue Gilda Radner's corpse too?)

This is why they should allow guns at the zoo. for the Humans and the Animals.

They're not getting squat though if the reports are true about them recording themselves taunting the tiger. The police are looking for those recordings now.

I'd say they got what was coming to them. It's like a monkey flinging it's crap at you, if you get a face full then you deserved it.

Provided said wild animals don't kill and eat you, of course.

The problem here is that the Animal always pays the high price of death. I wonder why it wasn't darted instead of being shot.....?
