I want to apologize to the catblogging community for not serving them as well as I once did.
Tonight's Carnival of the Cats was done wonderfully, as has the Carnival by many of the volunteers who took time out of their busy lives to round up the posts people sent in and make something special out of it.
I will be doing the last Carnival of the Cats of the year, and then I will hand over stewardship of the domain and Carnival to someone else who I am sure will do it in a more lively and exciting manner.
Thanks to everyone who has made the Carnival what it is, kept it going despite my decline in enthusiasm for the project, and will carry on this institution for many years to come.
And when they tire of running it, I hope they will recognize that it is time to hand it off a whole lot sooner than I did when I began to run out of gas.
So, as you get ready for Catmas and Happy Mew Year, hit that submissions site and flood it with the best you've got in Catblogging, and I'll be spending that long weekend putting things together for one... brief... shining... moment.
(I've got a 4 day weekend this week and next week, so I'll have plenty of time to do it right for a final time)
Thanks, and see you in a week.
