Tea For Two

I used the last of the iced tea this morning, so I started up a kettle to make more.

My wife's a Lipton drinker, I'm an everything-but-Lipton drinker, indulging in unusual flavors and blends.

So, I get out two pitchers, set out the lids, boil the water, empty the dishwasher while I'm waiting, set out a pitcher and a lid, strip off the labels and the tabs from the teabags for each pitcher, and.... hiss....

Water's ready.

I turn around, and Frisky is in the dishwasher, inspecting things.

Perfectly normal.

I turn back, get the water, pour it in a pitcher,, put on a lid, and fill the kettle again.

Kettle goes on the stove, I turn back around, and the pitcher hasn't clouded at all from brewing tea.

Strange.

Then I look inside. Empty pitcher.

I'd gotten out three pitchers and set two on one countertop and a third on the other... the third pitcher had the normal teabags in them.

*sigh*

Will someone remind me what's the first thing that goes when you get old?
