Am I delirious?

I was at McDonald's today looking for an Asian salad when I noticed something odd:

Double Cheeseburger = $1.00
Cheeseburger = $1.09

Would that make a Triple Cheeseburger = $.91?

You were at McDonalds...wow talk of taking life into your own hands!

David M. Hartzell:

No, it would be 28 cents:

Using the formula 1.09 - (((9 ^ (s - 1)) - 1) * 9)where s is the number of beef slabs, a single slab cheeseburger is $1.09, a double is a buck and a triple is 28 cents.

And how many people remember that the ^ symbol is the exponent operator from Dartmouth BASIC? I coulda messed up the formula, but it's close enough for McDonald's.

elderone:

Kinda like:

Cheeseburger $1.25
2 for $2.50

?????????????
