Once again, Warren Zevon left out in the cold. Same with Tom Waits, Yes... but Warren... the man was Rock and Roll.
Hell, he still is, thanks to his son digging up some old masters in a storage unit.
You know, it's about time Paul Schaeffer and David Letterman got vocal about the fact that the hall's shoveling in crap acts while class acts aren't even considered.
If only Larry Bud Melman were still around to wave a sign around and shout random nonsense.

How many times do you need to have it explained? Cleveland, home of the Rock hall, SUCKS!!!
If it was in NYC or LA or NOLA or Memphis or Nashville, it'd be kickin' I'd include Chi-Town and Detroit but the Chess Museum sucks and Detroit is just Cleveland without the smell.
That said, the Beastie Boys totally deserve to be in.

Hard to believe that Rolling Stone used to be influential. I remember being excited when it came in the mail and reading it cover to cover (early 1970s ala Almost Famous). Actually bought albums based on RS reviews.
Jann Wenner? Tool Extraordinaire.
The "liner?" art on the Zevon's "I'll Sleep when I'm Dead" double cd set includes photos of WZ and Hunter Thompson blasting away with various firearms on Thompson's ranch. If they were still alive, I could see them making swiss cheese out of a life-sized Jann Wenner blow up doll. Screw Cleveland.
