Okay, so Dan Rather is suing Viacom.

Yeah, I'm sure he'll be sharing some of that imaginary millions with Mary Mapes, who produced the baseless trash that Rather rode into the wastebin.

If Viacom wanted to play hardball, they could release Dan's wild takes and blooper reels from his long career behind the desk and in the field. Especially material that pertained to his true feelings about colleagues and co-workers, like Connie Chung for instance.

I'm sure the core executive group will give the order to settle, cry poverty, order up a round of layoffs of rank-and-file, and then give themselves record-setting bonuses.

(Meanwhile, Katie Couric wonders how much she can sue for when it's her time to get the axe.)
