1938: Neville Chamberlain appeases Hitler.
2007: Condi Rice appeases Wallid Moallem (FM of Syria), then "exchanges pleasantries" with Iranian FM.
Once upon a time, some guy stood in the Rose Garden and gave a good speech. In it, it said something about "leadership uncompromised by terror" and other really good ideas when you're the leader of a free society in the crosshairs of a totalitarian fundamentalist religious movement that has wide support among so-called moderates (who would be dubbed sympathizers or radicals by any truly rational moderate standard).
I feel sick about the fact that I actually believed he'd carry any of that out or stick to any of the principles in that speech.
But then, what do you expect from a man who's visited nearly every country in the Middle East except America's closest ally there?
Kinda makes you wonder if he actually considers Israel to be an ally at all and not just a necessary stepping-stone to The Rapture.

Kinda makes me wonder if maybe he knows something we don't, like maybe Iran already has a nuke and they are just waiting for him to visit to use it, kill two birds with one stone so to speak.

So, far, THANK GOD! The Saud's aren't picking up any keys from their Realtor in America's White HOuse. Not for want of trying, though.
If the Winograd report had told the truth, you'd have learned that back during the Lebanon Summer, James Baker came to the fore. And, pushed Olmert to attack Syria. Where Assad's head was supposed to be delivered on a plate. ANd, the Saud's would have picked up new borders.
Also? The CIA failed with the "trained" Chalabi. Tenet complains his career went zooming down the toilet. When, the Saud's Realtor gave him the Medal of Honor, instead of just flushing him away for incompetence and failure.
But the game plan? In my book, the Saud's thought Iraq would be their's, as soon as Dubya got the nod from the Supremes, in 2000. A bit slow, huh? So they, along with the sunni eygptians, delivered the "hits" that gave us 9/11. Immediately? We shut down all our air traffic. EXCEPT for the 140 Saudi's Bush allowed to be whisked out of town.
And, then you got two fake stories. ONE: Islam is a religion of peace. Nope. All of it has been taken over by the Saud's; where they've installed their terrorist recruitment agencies. By pushing out the ages old habits of imams to come from the local flock. Where they were "mom and pop" imams. Not any longer!
Did the Saud's pay a price? You're kidding me?
Has Bush collected his commissions yet, for changing the Mideast real estate? Again, you're kidding me.
But we've got about two more years left to the Saud's control of what's gonna happen next in the Mideast.
With Olmert, again THANK GOD, holding on! Because he's one of the best diplomats out there. And, not only should he survive, but his survival is better for Israel, too! Why give away the store because James Baker "asks?" Or Condi dances with Chirac?
So far? Only Romney is willing to associate his name with this Bush. Probably means he's in a weakened condition; running for the 2008 nomination.
Let's hope 2008 is not in the hands of the religious fanatics. So why not count on the Man Upstairs?
