Wok the wok, talk the talk

I'm still trying to figure out exactly where it is that the guy with the wok "satellite dish" is actually beaming signal to a satellite, but in all it's a very clever and cheap jury-rig of components.

If Jim Stanley had seen this article while still a chief engineer, he'd be buying up woks and making Rob weld them together into satellite dishes.

He's not going to a sat.

It's a ground-to-ground remote feed (similar to the TV station vans that beam back to their own studios via collapsable antennas).

Some corporations with campus-style buildings set over large areas use tight-beam microwave connections too (tight beams are also very secure.)

(I knew that. I was being facetious.)

Gerold, you forget that Lair has worked those vans before....
