The first thing I thought when I heard of the Russian-made jetliner crashing in Iran was: I hope they build nuclear power plants as badly as their airplanes.
Anybody else?

Count me in. This is the second crash for russia this past week. The other one dropped all its passengers a bit early. Over the Ukraine.
This time? The pilot got the plane on the ground without needing gravity to correct his errors.
When it comes to the russians all their losses are our gains. Is this called 'zero-sum?'

I was hoping the plane landed ON a nuclear reactor.

Lionstone: Iran's nuclear reactors are hidden. And, disguised. Covered in cement. So, why not? It could be the plane, here, landed on one. And, an air vent pushed the wing off to the side. Slid. BOOM. Bah.
Has everyone noticed how fast the "totally destroyed" Beirut airport is back in operation? Not only are the Israeli air force's strikes, accurate. They make little dents. Easy enough to fill in. But the press is gone. They didn't know anyone except the Green Helmet Guy. And, he gave them bum directions. I miss seeing updates, though.

Not only is the airport back in operation, but Qatar flights are landing with aid.
Qatar claims they broke the blockade, but they got permission to land first.
