Are burkas next?

A sword to their throat, Parisians find themselves adapting to dhimmi status in their own country...

City hall has issued a decree banning indecent clothing to preserve the tranquillity of the sandy beaches created on the banks of the River Seine every summer since 2001.

"People must behave according to good standards to maintain tranquillity, security and public order," the decree said, according to Saturday's edition of Le Parisien. "Notably indecent attire (nude sunbathing, g-strings and toplessness etc) is forbidden."

The city police will be enforcing the rules, and anyone caught baring too much flesh risks a €38 (about R400) fine.

Defending the decree, city hall sports official Pascal Cherki told Le Parisien that indecent clothing "could have led to temptations and dangerous behaviour on the banks of the river."

Which sura did they quote that from?

Next it will be bikinis, then one-piece bathing suits ...

Like a frog on a stove, slowly turning the heat up.

Lots of dead frogs in the future, I suspect.

Ha. This is france. Where the women can comb their armpit hairs to cover their tits. And, given their testosterone levels the men's bellies will cover their swinging dicks. To notice is to puke. Not that I care.

Carol_Herman:

Well, this will bring more anti-Semitism to the french; they're willing to make this trade-off. And, I'm happy to see that they've got lots of muzzies among them. Wonder what blows in when Chirac finally loses control. Not black burkas! Will have to be white. Uni-sex versions for the french. I laugh at the ironies.

Master Sgt:

Muzzies didn't have to look far to tap into the vein of anti-Semitism in the Froggy Nation -- probably why it's been such a favorite settlement spot for the vagrant vermin of North Africa. One has to wonder whether the Froggies ever realized they were being colonized by a dangerous group, or whether Pierre -- always one to live for today only -- just didn't give a crap whether his children's future was being usurped by immigrants of the religiously-Jurassic persuasion. Probaby too late now, so if anyone has a yen to see Notre Dame before it is, like the churches of Istanbul, converted into a mosque, they should hurry. Lourdes, of course, is the perfect site to water goats and camels.

Just wait for the Eiffel Tower to be used to call to prayer.
